Wild flower back pocket cross-stitch

I’ve been loving/ hating working on denim lately 🥴 My friend asked me to make her a wild flower back pocket and to cover up a patch on the opposite back pocket. I thought embroidering through denim was challenging enough but getting the needle through the zig zag stitch was almost impossible. Happy with how it turned out though! Any suggestions on embroidering over top of a patch like this? Please tell me there’s some super needle/tool out there that will make it go through easier 🤞🏻😅
